Islam and Slavery

Islam was born in a place when slavery was practiced in general and widespread. Al-Quran and hadith teach do good to slaves and treat they are as human as well as encouraging to liberate the slaves. The Prophet himself buy Persian slave named Salman and immediately abandoned it, and make his family members. It is important to note, that in Islamic societies, the slave system can not be a military command, the king, and leaders as well as the Black African slaves. Moreover, there are many crossbreeding and hybridization is usually descendants gradually became members of the public.

Clearly there were Arab slave traders in Africa and also Europe, but, apart from the fact that European colonial powers have made the slave trade Arab people are doing this as an excuse to colonize Africa, it was not sex slavery never happened events or "Anacostia" in any Islamic city. In fact, when the rapid flow arrival Black African slaves, as in Arab and Morocco, there is no atmosphere of racial discrimination. Today in every major mosque in Morocco, when the prayer time, one can see pilgrims from various nations ranging from Black Africa to the nation's blue-eyed Berbers, but people do not feel any racial discrimination.

Many pious Muslims who refused to have slaves and also writes for reject the practice. Before modern times, both Christian and community Muslims owned slaves, and it does not mean that the two religions are created or encourage the existence of slavery. Different races, not just Black African, brought to Islamic world as a slave, but they all immediately integrated into the race and Islamic societies have never committed a variety of practices that take place in South America before the outbreak of civil war. It is most important for understood is that during practice, though, slavery in Islam is not contains the idea of racism and most of the history of Islam, the former slaves immediately fused to the community through international marriage.
